@realDaveFeldman Too much : the 'right foods' to eat.
Too little : Insulin/Peripheral Insulin Clearance variations influencing food intake, as opposed to 'hunger'. Is screentime, going back to Champion the Wonder Horse, a factor ?
@ChrisPalmerMD@GabbyReece This book may finally do some good in Psychiatry but surely both Ibn Sina (980-1037 CE) and Richard Mackarness (1916-1996, all round good guy) would have something to say to the notion that metabolism affecting brain health is a new idea.
@ChrisPalmerMD I wonder why no-one seems to look at Peripheral Insulin Clearance as a possible Mental Health, or even food intake, issue? I mean clearance that can theoretically be affected by Adrenal enzymes.
@ChrisPalmerMD What is clearly not new, tho, is the idea that Mental derangement is physiological/metabolic in origin. Ibn Sina / Avicenna would have something to say.
@ChrisPalmerMD In Ednburgh, Scotland, 2022, pts can still be seen by a Psychiatrist confident in his ability to tell which pts are just "possessed by satan".
