Whenever I’m struggling, whether it’s cancer related or just life… “Bad energy” (anxious, reactive, impatient) never brings good results. Bad energy just keeps me down. Regrouping and getting back to baseline allows my “good energy” to revive and lead the way 🙏❤️💪
Managing a cancer diagnosis is exhausting, and the grind can wear you down. Some days you may just not have much to give. It happens to us all. Account for it. Allow a little compassion, and bounce back as soon as you can. It’s a marathon.

@othercword @ThanksCancer I live in a small area so the oncologists are full all the time. My first one was from a different part of the state and up here couldn't see me until weeks later so they let the first order my first round of chemo rather than making me wait.
@othercword I hate journaling anything so that was never going to happen. I instead shared bits of my experience as I went through it right here in front of what used to be millions of people. Sharing experiences helped as I was connected thru twitter with other cancer patients 😁

@othercword @ThanksCancer As an oncologist, it deeply pains me to hear some of these stories. Please remember our only job is to make the Onc journey easier by providing advice, consult, support, acceptance, and trust. If your Oncologist does less than that, fire them.
@othercword @ThanksCancer there were a lot of things with oncologist #2 that I had an issue with, some of it was later when I thought back. Mostly I complained to the nurses who felt like she was in the wrong. I'm on oncologist #5 now. High turnover where I go. I wish I had advocated for myself then

@othercword @ThanksCancer Yes, one of my consultants upset me by something he said and I told him. He apologised.
@othercword @ThanksCancer MD who did my biopsy said he’d call as soon as the results were in. It never happened so I had to wait a week until the referring MD called. I coincidentally saw him before being taken to the OR for a related surgery. I described exactly what it felt like to wait that extra week.
@othercword @ThanksCancer My GP got me assessed to see if I needed Psychiatric help. Had assessment & the following day GP called asked how I got on. b4 I finished explaining she interrupted & started to berate me for my behaviour with the clinic staff. I shouted leave me alone & hung up on her. Madness !
