just finished a crazy powerful integration of hermes agent harness and cursor sdk.. client delegates to native agents that spawn at .code-workspace with all the indexed code necessary to improve itself
modified hermes-agent and cursor-openai-api to remove the middleware system prompt “marker” schema and write cursor sdk customTools. main hermes thread has very few tools and delegates to “native” cursor agent planners for the removed functionalities
@mattshumer_ man I’ve got a crazy good custom agent harness workflow, its hermes on a dedicated M1, and instead of most hermes skills and tools it uses a configured cursor SDK, benefits from .code-workspace indexing and uses good cheap models (subagents / tools) + iOS
@Gerry@Kaprozz69@thdxr theres a lot of wasted indentation and vertical space in this implementation, it would probably be better off with if/else and returning an invoked function in each
@Mikehuntitchi@StephenFisherMD@TheCryptoCPA more stable than venezuela and argentina, but in the US its a stock or asset as far as taxes right? supposedly, your own government provides the safety of that investment? theoretically if someone got your secret keys, they could take everything you own in a short time
@robertomasymas@eztati @Evan0x51 @mattshumer_@karpathy I mean the i.e. example was flawed, it wouldn't be down the first row, then down the last column, it would be across the first row, down the last column; might be worth trying to repro because I don't think that example nullifies that it accomplished the task (a swiss roll)
@ChuckBaggett@mattshumer_@implisci that's the main character's job in the movie Her, which is also about advanced voice AI, I recently watched/skimmed through it and was amazed, we're living in the future
hey in mac os, where do you do this again / do you know if its possible to run a shell script this way? tried messing with karabiner elements and I’ve directly mapped caps lock to run a shell script but I want to use it as a hyper key + another key -> run shell script.. especially because I accidentally press it sometimes 😅
Here’s Ive on what Steve Jobs taught him about the power of focusing:
“Focus is not this thing you aspire to…or something you do on Monday. It’s something you do every minute.”
When I'm at Chipotle, l always wait until after the employee puts the first scoop of chicken on my burrito to ask for double chicken, so the size of the first scoop isn't compromised by the knowledge I'm getting a second scoop and now the employee has shown their hand in terms of their default scoop size, so they can't skimp with my second scoop.
@enjojoyy if you’re interested in writing server code as a react dev I’d check out aws amplify, cursor ide can probably walk you through it too, but its incredible
