OPEN LETTER TO THE LUO NATION As a Kalenjin, a cousin to the Luo, I say with all conviction that one indisputable truth is the Luo Nation has been in the forefront in our liberation struggle ab initio. When England wanted to gift us independence (that we fought for independence is debatable), they offered Jaramogi Oginga Odinga to be our first Prime Minister. He demurred & said Jomo Kenyatta must be released & made the Prime Minister instead. Jomo became our first Prime Minister. In 1964,he became our 1st President & made Jaramogi his Vice President. Their fallout is well known. And “marginalization” of Nyanza begun. Or so some say. Jomo had powerful Luos in his government, Fast forward. Luo Nation led Kenya in its 2nd liberation that made Kenya multi party. Then President Daniel Arap Moi co-opted LDP & gave Luo luminaries powerful positions in government! Moi who had been demonized was praised as holier than Moses! Then in 2002, Luo Nation said KIBAKI TOSHA. After three years, Luo Nation teamed up with Kalenjin Nation & others to form Orange Movement. 2007 was our lowest moment. Kenya descended into tribal anarchy. The world saved us! Then Mwai Kibaki entered into a Coalition Government with Raila Odinga. Luo Nation were happy to be part of the Government & Kibaki was praised to the high heavens. 2013 came. Luo Nation found themselves out for five years. Then in the second term of UHURUTO, there was handshake. Uhuru was praised as the messiah! Even Nyanza leaders danced on Uhuru’s birthdays! Now, Uhuru is the devil incarnate. Nyanza is part of the BroadBased government & everything before today was Luo Marginalization! Now Luo say they are in paradise. MAYBE, it is time Luo Nation enters into genuine self-introspection. Is co-opting of few Luo leaders in every government since 1963 good for them or beneficial to the few only? Why is it every time few are co-opted,the entire tribe is happy for that moment. It has been same for over 60 YEARS! What does the Luo Nation want? If they have agreed that ODM & UDA come together,then they must dissolve their parties into one. A political marriage works if all feet are inside. Luo Nation must risk all or lose everytime then complain. They must stop being a flower girl in every wedding. They must be the Bride or Groom! Any other arrangement will always have same outcome. Ending immediately after elections.

They have also reduced the hourly packages from 1gb for ksh.15 to a mere 250mbs for ksh.15 which is being swallowed in a jiffy. Now wait .. You thought you'd escape to WIFI which offers unlimited data for monthly packages? Ruto is already targeting that through a Draconian Kenya Information and Communication (Amendment) Bill 2025 by Aldai M.P Maryann keitany Once this bill is signed into law, it's going to take the country years back and roll back the success and milestones in affordable data , killing tens of thousands of jobs in the tech sector. Keitany's bill proposes far reaching measures that are going to make WIFI data expensive.. ✅ Introduction of internet metre number to bill every subscriber. ✅ There will be no unlimited data. You'll pay as per your consumption. They say you pay power or water. ✅ Monitoring of internet usage by ISPs The above Draconian measures points to a plan to curtail access to information to the public through the internet. Ruto in his haste to clamp down on the internet will affect: ✅ Businesses that used internet by increasing the cost of doing business. ✅ Schools that offer online studies will increase the cost of courses. ✅ Most businesses will fire staff to cut down on cost so as to survive. ✅ Communication will be affected because the cost of data will be out of reach affecting decisions and the economy. ✅ Access to information will be affected to a large portion of population who will not be able to to buy data. All this is being done to clamp down on access to information as we go to an election year. Ruto is fearing another Genz outrage which is fueled by information through social media. He thinks that by making data costly, majority of Kenyans including young people won't be a able to access information. The Looting regime is taking us back to stone age , where we will be communicating through smoke and beating of drums.

Water Minister Eng. Eric Mugaa is a conscientious Public Servant. Yesterday , he showed he is above partisan politics for calling out Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga & her County Executives for professional negligence. The County has been supplying contaminated water to its people! Many Ministers would have covered up the sheer incompetence of a Pro-Government Governor. But not Minister Mugaa because he is faithful to his professional calling & his Oath of Public Service. Wish we had more conscientious Public Servants like Eng. Mugaa.

Political power no matter how powerful is transient. IT ENDS! The law is transcendental. It cuts across all governments. IT IS PERPETUAL. Therefore, those political power newbies who have just joined BroadBased Government should chill & humble themselves.
