The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever would love to be pleased with his record, let him increase in istighfar [seeking forgiveness].” [Shu’ab al-Iman lil-Bayhaqi 648] Increase in seeking forgiveness for it contains great good in this worldly life and the hereafter.
Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymīn رحمه الله on morning and evening adhkar: “The daily adhkār (remembrances) are like a strong fortress—stronger than the wall of Ya'jooj and Ma'jooj. But sadly, many people don’t know about them. Even among those who do, many neglect them. And even those who recite them, often do so with hearts that are not focused. This is a shortcoming. If people were to stick to these daily adhkār as taught in the Shariah, they would be protected from many harms.” [Tafsir Juz ‘Amma | Ibn ‘Uthaymīn, p. 358]
