I moved from the UK to NJ 11 years ago and as soon as I could the whole family took our citizenship oath. When I first came the regulars at the local bar were disgruntled about America and thought everything was better elsewhere, they couldn’t comprehend why I came. I gave them the reasons about why America was great from my point of view, the constitution, the bill of rights, the people, the can do attitude and more. Honestly, they are all positive about America now.

Brilliant - glad you found them. I also prefer Carolina style. I moved from the island to NJ 11 years ago. My local bar now puts down vinegar with my first pint as they know my ritual. I had to up my BBQ game because over cooked burgers and tons of beer no longer cut it - here everyone puts effort into the food. I can now smoke ribs like that.

You read the manual, started small and worked hard and learned how be more efficient and effective. I just think ai changed the method. I used to do everything from a command line with my function libraries and saved code worked out before, now I do everything with AI from the command line

Absolutely agree—merit and character over identity every time. Thomas Sowell’s clarity on economics and culture, and Clarence Thomas’s principled stand on the Court, are inspirations for anyone who values truth and excellence. Same reason I look up to Muhammad Ali’s charisma and dominance in the ring, Daley Thompson and Viv Richards owning their sports, Sachin Tendulkar’s mastery, plus minds like Tolstoy, Gandhi, Socrates, Thomas Paine, Voltaire, and Oscar Wilde. They earned respect through what they built or achieved, not checkboxes. That’s how it should be. Respect.

The older generation new so much. This reminds me of a conversation with my Grandfather almost 50 years ago. He was a boxer in England in the 1920’s. He said the best food to get strong and lean was sardines on wholewheat toast and raw eggs in a glass of milk and he still ate that regularly.

Outcome was great, but I burned through 11% of my Premium+ monthly Grok usage in 2 hours. I setup a replica of an environment and new repo I was working on with Claude, asked Grok to read and convert the instructions which were setup for efficiency and started iterating. I have two setups now and I'll start working on improving efficient usage.

Enjoy. I’m from there and used to be a season ticket holder. I moved to the US in 2015 but go to 1 or 2 games a year. Have a burger and fries with fried onions from a street vendor, queue for a beer at The Trafford, buy some memorabilia from the club store but also from the street vendors they have cool stuff.

All football has become corrupt. They started to change the rules from simple to subjective and then introduced VAR. it’s corrupt. When a player is offside even if he doesn’t receive the pass, he interferes in that he changes what a defender does, now they can make up bullshit excuses to fix the game.
