@NWSLosAngeles Are the duration facts accurate? Last September there were 6 consecutive days above 95 in Highland Park (9/4 to 9/9). HLP is typically very close temps to DTLA. The historical weather page is not working for these dates on weather.gov (mesowest.utah.edu/cgi-bin/droman…)

@metrolosangeles are transfers still free? I was charged $1.75 + $1.50 to ride B line from 7th/Metro to Union Station and A line from Union Station to Highland Park.

@metrolaalerts Someone should tell riders which train will depart union station first when there are two trains sitting there (for over 15 min). One is jam packed and the other is half full. The people waiting on the other train will have to wait 20 min now? Really bad customer service folks…

@metrolosangeles would really appreciate if train operators would hold the train until scheduled departure. Sucks to run through Union Station to watch the 6:45 train rolling away at 6:44:45!

@topomodesto @TheNewYorkBlvd @LAgrimStreets @LosAngelesWalks Bulb outs could reduce the pedestrian Flash Don’t Walk time to as low as 10-12 seconds and the corresponding “red time to drivers on York” to as low as 20 seconds per cycle. And no it would not be a problem for York drivers to wait behind Metro buses picking up passengers.

@OPPD_Chief @OverlandPark_PD @BikeWalkKC The reckless driver sped past the STOP bar where they were required to STOP, sped another 17 feet, and only came to a stop when he crashed into the bicyclists. What if a child were crossing the street, with the WALK signal? Would @OPPD_Chief still blame the dead victim?

@OPPD_Chief @OverlandPark_PD @BikeWalkKC are you or is someone familiar with where this intersection is? Can we take this opportunity to point out some infrastructure fixes (pedestrian recall for the multi-use path, moving the vehicle stop bar farther back from the crosswalk) to improve safety?

@OPPD_Chief @OverlandPark_PD The impatient and lazy driver would not have changed his behavior even if there were a WALK light, because from his perspective he would have seen a RED light in either case. Your City has bad infrastructure for bicyclists and an ignorant victim blaming police department.
