Brazil (my favorite team since childhood) doesn’t have the midfield to win this tournament. Absolutely amazing that the country of Brazil trots out that midfield. It is so far below their standard. I think Argentina went tested will fold. France Portugal and I would even include England as teams with depth and talent to put a good run together. Love the idea of Japan. I just think they have to win too many games against too many good teams to actually win the whole thing. Spain needs to find some consistent offense, especially against teams that can defend their wingers decently. My top five in order for what it’s worth is France, Portugal Spain Argentina Germany.

The refereeing in the World Cup has been the only black eye on a wonderful tournament so far. Inconsistent is saying it lightly. And VAR is effectively useless the way it’s being used. And the peacocking and aggression of the referees is ridiculous. Many of these guys think World Cup is about watching them. One that sticks out to me is the aggression the referee showed David Alaba out of nowhere in Austria’s second game against Argentina. Starts to make you think if there is an agenda.

When scientists look at the past through a slow-moving lens, their calculated timelines automatically stretch into hundreds of thousands of years, which might be completely wrong. •Academic Gatekeeping: Archaeology and Egyptology are notoriously rigid. When evidence is found that contradicts the established timeline (like the advanced engineering at Göbekli Tepe pushing human civilization back thousands of years further than previously admitted), the mainstream scientific community often spends decades resisting it to protect their own careers and textbooks.
