I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I’m not a fan of the transfer portal. I understand these young players are trying to create an opportunity and promising future for themselves (which they should), but this is insanity. Finish what you started. Fulfill your commitment.
@mdrizzy22 But coaches don’t finish what they started or fulfill their commitments. Coaches recruit a player and tell them they will be with them their whole time and then leave for a better job. That’s not fair if kids can’t do same thing.
@mdrizzy22 I get what you are saying but sometimes the promises they coaches tell these kids don’t come to fruition.
@mdrizzy22 It’s become a mess. That combined with the NIL stuff is sort of ruining the heart of college football. These kids def deserve credit and $ for their name but it’s getting a little out of hand imo
@mdrizzy22 Coaches leave in the middle of contracts, why should student athletes stay?
@mdrizzy22 Part of the problem is the old model was draconian where the NCAA, Universities, and Coaches profited but not the players. Agree with you the current status quo is a drastic overcorrection, but it was 40+ years overdue.
