Mindfulness in schools... Great in theory, but will the teachers be trained to react in the right way if that causes harm or distress? Especially for some ND folk or those who have trauma, it can have the opposite of a calming effect.

Can we stop calling it a "School Attendance Crisis" and instead call it a "School/Education Accessibility and Inclusion Crisis" The root cause is not children or their parents, it's a system that doesn't work.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but… Your child being a gestalt language processor doesn’t mean they can’t learn letters and words. Sure, encourage gestalts. But don’t take away literacy instruction.
The ACE Centre is 40 years young today! This invaluable centre for AAC and AT, based in Oldham, has had only two directors since 1984. Roger Bates (right) founded the Centre back in 1984. Anna Reeves DL (centre) took over in 1996 and oversaw the merger with Oxford ACE in 2012.…
My first clinical work (a swallowing assessment) since my mental health led to taking a long time off work 6 months ago. Feels like riding a bike and I always loved cycling ❤️🧡❤️ Good to be back in the saddle again doing what I love
