@hassankhan @markgurman Not officially, no, but there’s plenty of well-established (since before Apple opened sales in 2000s) companies selling devices imported from elsewhere. Used to be from the US and UAE, last gen at least in part from Japan.

in retrospect it's pretty ~funny how most shitware SaaS companies & social media companies exclusively run Real Software for Grown-Ups while critical infrastructure (airlines, hospitals, etc.) all uses dotcom-era software from comically incompetent zombie firms with 650 PE ratios

@DrawsMiguel Maintenance, especially styling; and finding decent barbers. I went to buzzcuts after growing shoulder-length mane, then getting it butchered by a bad hairdresser. Currently moved to a boring side-part (which does objectively look better), but my god it’s annoying to care for.

@xlucinescad @servomechanica My reasoning: the “image” shared by the startup is an artistic rendition at best, and they couldn’t be arsed do model these modules closely; this is the most similar (publicly available) MPS part, and it fits the application & other MPS modules. Would love to be corrected tho.

@shipilev That + cost difference is why I ended up with fibre around the house, with DACs or 1G copper to clients from room switches (also Mikrotik MVP for having had very reasonably priced SFP+ boxes several years ago)
