10-15 years ago it looked like email is fading away. Today I'm channeling most notifications via email, to keep track and reduce distractions. There is something to be said how modern communication tools don't consider user stress level at all, but we all need them to do it.

Exceptional troubleshooting skills are usually attributed to some intuition built up on experience. That makes sense, but consciously following the hypothesis cycle has a huge impact and IMO is undervalued in the SRE space.
