Good art can be creates quickly and easily. We’re saying, to be art it has to be created, not generated by what is, for all intents and purposes, a vending machine.
I’d also disagree that the preoccupation with what any individual does is at the core. We’re criticizing the anti-intellectual, anti-worker and anti-human aspects of this technology and the culture surrounding it, which is a systemic, cultural and economical issue.
That said, we are only human, and it’s been a year and a half of people parading the things they haven’t made claiming they’re just like us or better, ready and EAGER to take our livelihoods away. I’m sure any sane person can understand why creative workers are on edge.
Idk man, there’s a lot to be said on the topic but “when it comes to art, people are saying AI is bad bc it should be harder to do things” is reductive in a really dishonest way.
