Just saw a TikTok where a woman said “do you actually want it or do you want other people to see that you have it?” and WHEW! I feel like more ppl need to ask themselves this, because what they THINK they want, isn’t what they actually want. What they really desire is acceptance.

I want romance. I want intimacy. I want the 2 am love making. I want consistency, loyalty. I want the random looks of admiration. I want to know you're just for me. I want date nights. I want love so pure and true. I want it because I can return it.

We don't talk about how watching your parents no longer be able to do things they used to do starts the grieving while they're alive process.

forcing yourself not to talk to a person when you both talked everyday for months is one of the hardest things ever

the smallest amount of reassurance means so much. Random messages like “im not mad at you” “you’re not annoying me” i’ll text you later” “i love you” is such a relief.

I want to hear stories of people going from shy, cold, introverted, disconnected, to warm, social, curious, open, playful, connection-oriented If this happened to you plz tell me about it

I’m working on all this stuff… I truly am! But I’m grateful that I have someone in my life who isn’t as stubborn with their emotions as I am. I also hate feeling like I have limited control, so if I sense that, my default is to try and run…even when I don’t want to 😭

All along I needed someone who has no problem fighting for me / us. Someone who sees my flaws and is like “I’m not letting you get away that easy”. Because it’s very easy to be like “f*ck it - bye”, which is how I behave at times. It’s harder to say “ok how can we fix this?” 😭♥️

And do you know what’s crazy? I always thought I was this super open, vulnerable person until I met someone who surpasses me. Then I had to take a real look at myself like huuuuuhhhhh. Am I a hard babe? LMAO. Okay I’ve never been a hard babe but you get what I mean 🤣

Not me giving myself a therapy session on here, but ah well! Maybe someone will read all this and relate to it ♥️ Let’s try and improve… Life is too short to pretend you don’t care when you do. And love is too rare to run away from it every time you feel very vulnerable.

I once believed I could date someone who is JUST like me, but in reality it wouldn’t work. Sometimes I act unbothered as a coping mechanism, or I’m defensive / too proud. I can be vulnerable but I now know I always needed someone who is willing to be more vulnerable than me 🥹

i don’t think my friends understand how much they’ve positively contributed to my life by them simply holding space for me and seeing me. i know love because of them. 🥺♥️
