@jonlis1 There are worse things happening right now than the minor damage to a frame which helped highlight the climate emergency.
@jonlis1 Fair points. Sympathetic to the cause. But as with Dartford bridge closure this week and previous commuter disruption I think the resulting loss of popular support outweighs and outlasts any news cycle gain.
@jonlis1 This is a Peta campaign, shocking, disruptive & unpopular but it vicerally shows animal suffering. What do you learn about climate change with their protest? What issue are they highlighting? There's nothing there, they grabbed the attention of the media to just look at soup!
@jonlis1 I was shocked by the footage but listening to her, I have to completely agree. She is spot on. And the painting was behind glass, which was my concern when I saw the protest online.
@jonlis1 It exaj s how the protest was predetermined to be harmless. It's also articulate and well informed; calm and hate free. Dont think shell ever get a job and the Telegripe or Daily Hatemail.
@jonlis1 It got an incredible amount of attention by making people think the painting might have been damaged when it wasn't.
@jonlis1 @lizsteelpt2 ‘Queer woman’ 😂. Can’t she just say lesbian?
