So let me get this straight. The Supreme Court had time to hear a case where a bunch of doctors who have never had to perform a procedure might possibly have to hypothetically maybe perform it in the 0.000027% chance that they a person needs this procedure and the only one around is a fucking DENTIST to perform it, but they don't have time to hear a case over whether the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES CAN COMMIT TREASON? WHAT IN THE ABSOLUTE FUCKANORY IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE!?!??!?!
@KellyScaletta 1/2 Kavanagh made the point there is federal law that says docs do not have to perform abortions; however, I'll share a personal story: family member, radiologist, in hospital. PA announcement: Need doc to deliver a baby. He of course went, scrubbed, delivered the baby.
@jennifer_rileyx @KellyScaletta An abortion is very different from delivering a baby. Am I missing something.
@jennifer_rileyx @KellyScaletta I have never met a medical doctor who would choose to let someone die because saving them goes against their religious beliefs. Also, if a doctor doesn’t want to save me, I don’t want them forced to! I’ll take a nurse, paramedic, or vet tech over someone forced to save my life!
@jennifer_rileyx @KellyScaletta My daughter is an ultra sound tech and delivered a baby in the ultra sound room. Doctors were called, but the baby did not wait for them. She was not trained in this.
@jennifer_rileyx @KellyScaletta TBH- if that facility has a Labor and Delivery unit then every one of those OB nurses would be better suited to handle that delivery than a radiologist who may not have even attended a delivery since med school. -OB
@jennifer_rileyx @KellyScaletta Hmm, suspicious of a bit of radiologist fiction here, cause rads, become rads for a reason, so they don’t have to do things like catch babies. Plenty of babies are born w/o a MD in the room, & a rad showing up to deliver is more of a liability than a help. No disrespect to rads.
