I wish ppl could explain to me, why we cannot make a law that a convicted criminal cannot run 4 political office, particularly for president, even if pardoned. I know what our Constitution says, but in many states, felons who paid their “debt” never get their rights back.
@jeanie31199 Here's the irony: if you are a felon convicted in Florida, where Trump lives, you lose your right to vote. However, it does not prevent you from running for president, especially since possible charges against him are from New York, Georgia and Federal.
@jeanie31199 Because every politician would put their rivals in prison.
@jeanie31199 If we don't want our democratic institutions threatened at every turn, then we need some reforms. There's no reason to think we have to leave things as they are. We can change and we can improve on what we already have.
@jeanie31199 @JayRodge66 You’re right some felons can’t get a job as a Porter, the President needs to try work on an amendment, to the constitution tho the republicans probably won’t agree to that, being their majority criminals,
@jeanie31199 at least if they are convicted of a felony.
@jeanie31199 Many, many employers will not hire people with records!! But, it's perfectly fine to run for political office and the Presidency?! 🤬🤬🤬
