Dai turns 1 year old today! We deployed December 17, 2017 when ETH was 720 USD. Since then, ETH price peaked at 1400, then steadily dropped to 80. Dai has maintained its peg to the US Dollar. Call it trial by fire 🔥 #HappyBirthDai

Ethereums best DApps, @MakerDAO and @AugurProject, are not DApps built for daily active use. The value provided by these platforms are not from their daily active userbase. Open finance products are better used only once in a while. Like Robinhood, or a savings account.

Currently, someone could mint Dai with a CDP at 2.5% APY and offer it for a 7.8% return on Compound. Very simple profit opportunity. The beauty is, the second the return falls to 2.5% or lower, the user can withdraw the Dai from Compound, then close out their CDP. No Fixed Terms.

Finally reading "The Bitcoin Standard" by @saifedean. The real value of the book so far has been the explanation and history of money. Value is a surprisingly abstract concept and--all things considered--humans haven't done a bad job quantifying it.

@coinyeezy @ChrisBlec I have a Dai loan from a @MakerDAO CDP. I'm also filling a demand in the markets by making that Dai available for other traders, as such, I am profiting off this debt.
