Retarded. Unless you're a VC or know one with a solid track record, the private market is unbearably difficult compared to the public market. This is primarily due to the fact that private markets are overvalued relative to public ones. Only a handful of privates, like anthropic, outperformed publics over the past few years. But once you account for liquidity premium (generally 2x), even most of those didn't. Private investing is for the wealthy for a reason: high loss rate and little to no liquidity

@AntiFeminismAU (1) If tomorrow all men under 6' disappeared, 6' would become the new 5'6 and women would get the ick from anything under 6'5. They allow want the top 10-20% of whatever is available. Once they apply a filtre for all under 6' on the app, then only 6' or over exists. See (1).

I've privately stated this but will publicly state this: I give even odds that anthropic will ipo at 3T. I give about 25-30% odds it's in the 4-5T range. Unlike the SpaceX ipo, where the valuation is basically betting on an outcome in the middle of the next decade, Anthropic should be on pace to hitting goals inside the next two years. Because of that timeline for spacex, even investors from just a year ago, should sell at least a decent portion of their holdings. The difference with Anthropic is that investors from a year ago, shouldn't be selling. So 6T valuation next year is not unreasonable.
