Satisfies instead of a type annotation.Annotating is what widens the literals and kills the inference. And when one key depends on another, I stop using a plain object and pass it through a generic identity function, so the signature can say "this key must be a key of that one." Computed unions get derived with a mapped type off the same object.

Type safety doesn't prevent bugs. It just moves the bug from runtime to a red squiggle you learn to ignore. The actual bug prevention is tests that run against real data shapes, not the type checker agreeing with itself. #BuildInPublic
