@eliza_b33 @cafreiman This is certainly not language policing. It is following the logic of the concept to its ultimate consequences. A society in which people can inherit billions, and in result the powers that come with it, is not a meritocratic society. You might as well bring back nobility titles.

@eliza_b33 @cafreiman It is not a matter of bein moved, but of following the logic. In a meritocracy, you are rewarded for your effort, not other person's. Which is fine, I would rather inherit, than not. But it shows we are not fully committed to meritocracy, and the definition womes with loopholes

@Fullantho @ksusys @30yrboomerbird It took the government like 40-50 years of sustained effort to bring down fertility rate to replacement level. So it stretches credibility that this sudden decline was on the government. Some people blame phones. This is bizarre.
