Shocking but not surprising this post from my disabled friend and activist @fizliz20 on the Access in St Neots page. It really beggars belief that HDC have allowed this to happen. Yet again it shows how the needs of the disabled are too often ignored or overlooked …
A really big night, as we secured the backing of the opposition for my motion to increase the level of Council Tax Support for the 4000 Huntingdonshire residents on the lowest incomes.

I think we need a campaign to educate the public that disabled people aren't some alien other group. We are just them after an accident or illness. We are what they could be in the blink of an eye. So what's good for us now would be good for them the day after.
