Session 2: Transforming Obstetric Emergency Training Through Technology
The future of maternal healthcare training is here! 🌍✨
During the second session of PPH School Cohort 2 at the University of Nairobi – Chiromo Campus, participants explored the power of Virtual Reality (VR) and Extended Reality (XR) in obstetric emergencies — bringing a new dimension to how healthcare professionals prepare for critical moments.
Through a practical demonstration of VRIMS (Virtual Reality in Medicine and Surgery), learners experienced immersive simulation technology designed to enhance clinical decision-making, improve preparedness, and strengthen response during life-saving obstetric interventions.
By embracing innovation, we are moving from learning about emergencies to experiencing them — creating a workforce that is more confident, skilled, and ready when every second matters.
Technology is reshaping the future of maternal care.
Innovation is helping us protect every mother. ❤️
