For example. Although our use case was different. The CLI had a tb datasource mock --rows n --prompt "extra instructions" command that generated a fixtures file using this technique. I had 2 main annoyances with the old view that are now solved: - Hard to distinguish my messages and the agent's - Tool calls were too verbose I see you now hide some agent replies by default, and even if it surprised me a bit at first, I think it's the right call. I think the threads view is a very powerful entry point for new users to Amp. I keep sharing threads with coworkers and the new view surely will cause a much better impression and make them more likely to want to try Amp.

If you use a terminal-based editor (like neovim, which I use btw) it's just the best way to keep them around persistently, zoom them, have them next to terminals, etc. I now do dev in a relatively ephemeral remote server and it transfers beautifully there too. that said I do run a fork of tmux patched so that ctrl-i and tab are distinguishable. So it is definitely not free of quirks. For something I use for hours every day I'm ok with some ocasional investment to fix a quirk that gets in my way.
@mitsuhiko There's a bit of a barrier to entry, and it definitely has some quirks. But after not too long using it (a few weeks if you commit, IMO) you wonder how people can work in terminals without tmux. But it definitely requires a certain mindset and willingness to mess with your tools
