11 years ago ~today I started working at @intercom - such a fun and rich and wild ride so far, 4000+ days down, still more in the tank - very exciting days, weeks, months and years ahead.

We even tried some strategies from @ChatGPT that worked temporarily but not on all devices and then defaulted after a few reloads 🤔

@cfhirschorn Some factors that contribute to this working well at @IntercomEng - Clear team ownership. Most parts of the monolith have an owner defined in code. Handy for automatically adding to traces/metrics, also useful for establishing who owns what which distributes the oncall work.
I feel that way about @farmerjfood today. I know in a few years (months?) we will all be as derogatory about it as Pret, but right now it's perfect, and I'm in my honeymoon period.
