the global labor market is huge, largely untapped and broken
i only started to realize as devsignal grew
we’ve been seeing insane demand for global talent from some of the biggest ai labs and the fastest growing startups
potential is huge
The global labor market is broken
There are talented people everywhere
But finding, accessing, vetting and managing them is difficult
We have a large plan of fixing it and we’re starting with engineers because of the value they bring to startups
500+ placements to-date
“hell yes” candidates aren’t applying to job postings
they’re building something or already working at a great company
that’s why we have 0 job postings on DevSignal
we have recruiters on the ground, reaching out and meeting these candidates
we're looking for 100+ Python developers this week
we're only looking for top 1%
hiring from: Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Portugal and Spain
this really isn't for everyone - each candidate will be manually vetted to ensure the right fit
let me know if interested
everyone talks about cracked engineers
but no one talks about how you find them
last year we placed 248 engineers at startups with a 95%+ trial-to-hire rate. here's what I've learned:
these engineers aren't writing "I'm humbled to announce..." LinkedIn posts
they're:
- shipping code while others write Medium posts about shipping code
- building tools for fun
- creating real tech communities, not just following them
- moving at startup speed before joining a startup
- addicted to the chaos of 0 to 1
where to find them:
- deep in GitHub issues solving problems
- active in niche Discord servers and subreddits
- contributing to open source projects that matter
- competing in hackathons (and usually winning)
- building side projects that other devs actually use
they don't want ping pong tables.
they want ownership.
we're hiring 100+ developers this week
we're only looking for top 1%

across: Python, Java, JS, GO, C++, C#

most founders get global hiring wrong
over the past year, we've placed 329 developers at over a 100 startups
the secret? The Blitzscale Hiring Framework—a process we've refined to:
- reduce time-to-hire from weeks to days
- achieve 95%+ retention rates
- cut hiring costs by up to 60%
against the advice of the team, I'm giving the framework away for free
just comment "HIRE" and I'll DM it to you
been sharing this pod by @nikitabier and @lennysan to all my founder friends that are building consumer apps
thought i'd write up a summary with my favorite points and share it here since it's filed with gems for anyone building or looking to build in this space
any points you agree or disagree with?
