@stayaway_002 there is nothing modern or modular about that other kitchen. clearly hasn’t seem an actual modular kitchen.
Indian vegetarians are an obnoxious breed of people.
Indian woman brings her Hindu mother-in-law to a Costco in Australia who immediately starts feeling nauseous after seeing clean freshly packed meat.
Wait hold on. so hoping for private corporations to deploy their cash and resources to even more profitable capitalistic ventures is socialism? so then every wall st analyst who asks questions to the cfo on how they are going to deploy their cash flow is a socialist? so when Piyush goyal chided indian startups for lack of innovation and instead “turning unemployed youth into cheap labour so the rich can get their meals without moving out of their house” was socialism? Modi said this on national startup day 2026 - “Ideas once dismissed as fringe because they involved risk-taking are now becoming fashionable. Today, risk-taking has become mainstream” and this in feb 2026 “Indian firms must invest more aggressively in research and development, adopt frontier technologies, deepen supply-chain capabilities, and compete on quality and productivity rather than on protected margins.”. Modi will be quite surprised to learn that he is a socialist. bhai, at least look up the meaning of a word before shooting off your mouth. kya kar rahe ho yaar
body shop is not an insult, it is the fact. The standard pitch for any of your IT engagement is - you can lay off your entire IT department and get the same work done at a cheaper rate by Indians. That sir is the definition of body shopping. There is nothing wrong in it and it has been a good business model. So why deny it? And I know this because I have worked in an IT Company is Corporate Stategy and M&A. And you are a smart guy, you know why people are angry. Indian IT companies consistently failed to move to product. The best they did was “consulting” and that too the very bottom end of the consulting ladder. Because you have been extremely risk averse. You hoped the good times would last and leadership was afraid to rock the both lest they end up in paying the price for failures which is a distinct possibility with product development. Do I understand that you had good reasons not make it into product? Yes i do. Do i and a lot of indians feel you were complacement despite those challenges? also yes. sure you couldn’t have built the next Anthropic but there is a huge gap between body shopping and being Anthropic that you could have exploited.
So @SwiggyCares finally refunded me my money. But not without a gaslighting email first (see screenshot below). So their argument is that this was a "change of mind" cancellation and their standard cancellation policy applied. But as a "one-time exception" the very generous folks at Swiggy gave me a refund. And yes, they will bring this issue up with the restaurant. How considerate of them. But 1. this wasn't a "change of mind" return. The restaurant did not have the item. And I did not select that as a reason either. Your system doesn't have a classification for this case or your system failed to classify correctly. 2. Swiggy also didnt inform me that the entire order amount will be forfeited if I cancelled. 3. And the restaurant wasn't at fault here. They called me up and informed me that the item isn't available. It is Swiggy's fault entirely. They need to build a workflow for the very common situation where a restaurant might run out of an item after an order is placed. 3. Don't dare call it an "one time exception" and insult me. You are not doing me any favours by correcting your mistake At no point did Swiggy own up to their mistake. Their email makes it sound like the customer and the restaurant were at fault when neither of those are true. And you know why I know that: the exact thing happened with @zomato too yesterday before I ordered from @SwiggyCares . the outcome was very different. @zomato instantly refunded without any of this drama. But thanks for the "one time exception" refund swiggy. I will surely make ordering from Swiggy an "one time exception" @harshamjty @rohitisb
@SwiggyCares just charged me cancellation fee for an item that the restaurant called an said they don't have. @SwiggyCares also didnt bother to inform me that cancellation will mean forfeiting the entire order amount before cancelling the order. And their customer service wasted 20 mins of my time. Exact same thing happened with @zomato today and the outcome was very different: instant cancellation and refund without any drama. When it comes to food delivery and quick commerce there isnt a lot of differentiation in offering. The biggest differentiator is customer service. @harshamjty @rohitisb See screenshots below So here's what happened: Was really craving Mutton Sheek Kabab but seemed like Guwahati is all out of Mutton Sheek Kabab. First ordered from @zomato, the restaurant didn't have it, asked for cancellation on the app and the order was cancelled and a full refund issued. Then ordered from a different restaurant through @SwiggyCares This time also the restaurant didnt have it. I wanted to cancel and the help chat first said i cant cancel. I kept asking then it just cancelled the order and charged the entire amount as cancellation fee. Mind you I This was the process: Step 1: Order placed Step 2. Restaurant calls and says they dont have Mutton Sheekh Kabab Step 3. I tell the restaurant to cancel and they said I have to cancel from my end Step 4: I go to chat support to cancel the order Now this is where Zomato and Swiggy differ Zomato : Verifies order details > Are you sure > Yes > Order cancelled > Refund processed Swiggy: Step 5 - Sw: What do you want Share reason Step 6: Me: I said the restaurant called me and said they dont have what i want Step 7: Sw: Order something else Step 8: Sw: Please Order something else Step 9: Sw: the order is being processed and we cant change it Step 10: Me: But the restaurant doesnt even have what I want? Step 11 : Makes me wait. Human Agent joins Step 12: Me: I want to cancel Step 13: We have cancelled. We have charged you the entire order amount Step 14: Me: But you didn't tell me I will be charged the whole amount. Also they don't have one of the items so what am I being charged for? Step 15: Let me check that Wait for 8 mins Step 16: New agent joins. Sir what is the issue? Puts me on hold for another 4 mins Step 17: Can i call you? Step 18: Called me and said they can't do anything. I should write an email. So 20 mins of my time wasted and they took my money too.
Spoke to your customer support again to get my refund and it has been processed. But lets be clear, you are not doing a customer any favor by refunding a charge that should not have been made in the first place. I placed my order at 8:20 pm and its 9:20 pm. 1 hour to resolve this! And no mutton sheek kabab. I was really looking forward to mutton sheek kabab.
@SwiggyCares You also kept the Rs 50 delivery tip I had put. The order was cancelled within 5 mins of placing it. So what and to whom am I paying the delivery tip to? Come on guys.
Yes, India launched double-stack electric freight trains, and while it's an incredible engineering milestone, the narrative surrounding it often lacks crucial context. Large infrastructure projects take decades, spanning multiple governments. Here is the actual timeline: 1/ The Concept (2005): The Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) project wasn't born yesterday. The initial task force to plan the Eastern and Western corridors was established back in 2005 under the UPA government. 2/ The Core Tech (2007): To run double-stack under electric wires, you need a massive 7.57-meter high-rise overhead equipment (OHE) system. The breakthrough high-reach pantograph needed to make this work was actually developed by an Indian firm in 2007. 3/ Planning & Funding (2007-09): The structural blueprints, alignment surveys, and critical multi-billion-dollar funding agreements (primarily with Japan's JICA for the Western corridor) were finalized during this window. 4/ Execution & Launch (2020-21): The final stretch of physical OHE infrastructure deployment and the historic commercial rollout of these trains happened under the NDA government. Credit where it's due: the current administration pushed the execution across the finish line. 5/ The Foreign Tech Link: While the high-reach pantograph was a homegrown innovation, we didn't do it entirely alone. To pull these massive 1.5 km long-haul trains, Indian Railways partnered with French multinational Alstom to develop the 12,000 HP WAG-12 locomotives. The Bottom Line: This wasn't a single-government miracle. The foundation, funding, and core tech were laid under UPA, and the massive execution and rollout were delivered under Modi. That is exactly how ambitious, multi-decade nation-building works. indiashippingnews.com/indian-railway….
Thats not true. training a frontier model costs $70-100 M. The other billions is for inference which you will need only if you have users using it. And if you have users, investors will follow. By comparison the Statue of Unity cost $300M. And getting billions in funding isnt that big a challenge- indian startups receive anywhere from $10 B to $40 B in funding annually. The problem is that we have no research to speak of in the country. The government never spent on it and therefore it doesn’t attract the best and brightest.
@AdiSpeaX Oh wow. a flyover. such a technological marvel. no other country has one
Okay now that AI agents are so smart and all that, can we just eliminate Scrum masters. Asking for an update isn’t that difficult.
NEW: Earlier this year, an obscure startup in Texas announced that it had received at least $100 mil from one of the richest men in Asia. We dug into the backstory. We discovered a saga involving Donald Trump Jr., Russian oil, and an Indian billionaire family’s private zoo.

@IshanTanna1 Why not go full andh bhakt and compare against your arch nemesis Nehru? will make you feel even better!
In 2014 only 12% of indians had smartphones. So yeah no UPI. Btw UPI was conceptualized in 2012. As for EV, other than Reva there were no EVs in India in 2014. For comparison Tesla’s first mass produced car - the Model S- was launched only in mid 2012. By that logic, there were zero phones, zero UPI, zero EV charging stations during Nehru’s time Yes new airports were built but most of these are not commercially operational. infact of the 663 new routes that were started as part of UDAN, only 57 are still operational. These airports were built so taxpayer money can flow into the pockets of corporates particularly Adani. But you know what, how many airports did the mughals build? Wah Modiji Wah How effing stupid these bhakts are! In the day and age of chatgpt!
I welcome Gen AI features in existing software. But I cannot, for the love of God, find a single major tech company doing it right. Today’s offender: Spotify. They’re launching AI features to let users “remix music with AI.” If I wanted to listen to shitty remixes, I’d just listen to Tanishk Bagchi, Neha Kakkar, or Baadshah. This should be declared a crime against humanity. But that’s not even what got me. This is what got me. Spotify has an MCP server. So I tried to do something simple: generate a playlist in Claude and push it to Spotify. Can’t do it. The Spotify MCP’s create_playlist tool only lets Claude pass a prompt to Spotify’s own AI, which then generates the playlist itself. That’s it. That’s the whole tool. So what exactly is the point? I can open the Spotify app and type a prompt directly. I don’t need an MCP for that. MCPs exist so external tools can read, write, and act on your data. They are not a message-passing wrapper for a competing AI. The whole value of using Claude here is: Claude generates, Spotify stores. That’s the workflow. What Spotify built is: you type, Spotify AI generates, Claude is a middleman that adds zero value. I’m not even sure what Spotify gains. I’ll be listening on Spotify either way. What difference does it make whose AI assembled the playlist? The only explanation I can think of: this is a data play. Spotify wants your prompts, your taste signals, your natural language intent – running through their model, not someone else’s. That’s what they’re protecting. Which is fine, I guess. But call it what it is. Don’t ship it as an “integration.”
@SpikeCalls whats that tool you used for the visualization?
@davidzmorris no this is exactly why i am on twitter for
