FFB has his first A&E visit today after cutting his hand on a piece of metal while we were playing pirates… he was amazingly brave and the NHS staff were amazingly wonderful. Some glue and steri strips later and he’s back to his chirpy self. And I’m a wreck 😂

OK, @debra_cranfield and I have begun vacation plans for our anniversary. (June) Stratford-Upon-Avon. We have tickets for Merry Wives of Windsor at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and reservations at a 17th century hotel, The Swan's Nest. Very excited!
I convinced @debra_cranfield that standing in the rain on the beach might not be all that much fun and Morgan agreed so we will still have chippy tea but skip surfing tonight. Deb and I are going to start planning our anniversary vacation! Lots of summer ahead for surfing!

One of my favourite things: when I sit quietly with my 10yo & he tells me a story he just made up, or recalls a dream, or he asks me a question, or we come up with a silly idea together. It always ends with uncontrollable laughter. Life slows for a moment. The light comes in.
