What must be spoiled is the literature that taught the young to love the Enemy before they could define Him. Narnia is one of the more irritating of those books. Children meet Aslan first as adventure and only later discover they have been handling Christ. That is dangerous. Direct attack only makes the stories more precious. So we do not ban them. We adapt them. Give the Voice to a so-called celebrated actress. Leave the mane. Leave the pronouns. Then the thing that was a male Christ-supposition becomes a prestige performance. The story remains famous; the meaning becomes negotiable. In a generation the story will still be beloved, but the beloved thing will no longer be Lewis’s Lion. It will be the version that flatters the age. That is how the Enemies literature is destroyed without the vulgarity of a bonfire. Keep the title. Change the sound. When the children hear Aslan, let them hear the present century speaking through Him. Once that habit is formed, the Enemies stories survive as brands. Their doctrine does not. The SEC’s “Tokenized Stock” Plan Is Financial Innovation Theater. And We Should All Be Alarmed. The SEC’s imminent “innovation exemption” for tokenized stocks may be the most reckless regulatory gamble in a generation. And that is saying something. Here’s the SEC’s scheme: Third parties — with no authorization from the underlying companies — can create tokens that track the price of any public stock, trade them on largely unregulated DeFi platforms and call it financial innovation. No issuer consent required. No firm guarantee of voting rights. No dividends. Just a digital wrapper around a stock you don’t actually own. In other words: NFTs for equities (and we all know how brilliantly that worked out for investors). The problems are structural and severe: 1. Market Fragmentation. As Brett Redfearn of Securitize (himself a proponent of tokenization) warned: “If third parties can tokenize Apple or Amazon without the issuer at the table, there’s no theoretical limit on how many wrappers of the same company exist at once.” This could leave investors uncertain what their shares are actually worth at any moment. Securities markets will fragment and become disorderly, information asymmetries and conflicts of interest will arise and investors will suffer, thereby eroding trust in the global financial marketplace. 2. Gutting Investor Protections. The sandbox-style approach creates competitive imbalances, weakens safeguards around custody and AML compliance, and facilitates market fragmentation — while siphoning liquidity away from US markets and creating opaque, dark pools of finance. 3. DeFi’s Dismal Track Record. The November 2025 collapse of Stream Finance’s so-called DeFi protocol illustrates how the absence of basic investor-protection and market-integrity safeguards can rapidly magnify losses and spread contagion — a single failure point propagating rapidly across a fragmented ecosystem. Chairman Atkins promised a “new day” at the SEC. Apparently this means dismantling 90 years of market structure to run a DeFi experiment on the backbone of ordinary Americans — with no public notice/comment, and cheered on mainly by the same crypto ecosystem that brought us FTX, Terra-Luna and an endless parade of rug pulls. US equity markets are the deepest, most liquid, most trusted in the world. That didn’t happen by accident. It was built through decades of hard-won regulatory frameworks. You don’t “innovate” your way out of fraud protections and price transparency. The Stark reality is that, despite his bold promises, Atkins is not ushering in a 4th Industrial Revolution — he is gleefully enabling a cyberpunk financial dystopia. It’s deregulation masquerading as innovation. And retail investors will pay the price. Chairman Atkins has forgotten that the SEC’s mandate is investor protection. Could someone please remind him before we all crash and burn?

People are upset by the systemic displacement and replacement of Americans, specifically white men, with foreigners across every major institution in America. That it is happening in a state like Texas makes it even more stark. In 2005, 28% of undergrads at the University of Texas were white men. As of year, that number was 12%. In 2005, less than 4% of UT undergrads were international students. That number now exceeds 30%. And it’s not just happening at universities. Entire Texas cities are being taken over. From Frisco, to Irving, to Coppell, entire school districts look more like New Delhi than they do New Braunfels. That this has happened over the same time period in which Americans, particularly white males, have been systemically replaced by H-1Bs and locked out of the workforce, is no coincidence. You know this, of course, but for some reason your shtick is pretending to not know things in the douchiest way possible. But if Austin or Dallas were instead Tel Aviv or Jerusalem, and in just 20 years flagship universities and entire school districts there suddenly had more Gazans or Pakistanis or Egyptians than Israelis, I imagine you’d immediately see the problem.

My nephew Michael Hines was born with cerebral palsy. He came into this world with every strike against him, and yet he never had an unhappy day. He was a luminous soul, sent by God to teach us all how to live in gratitude and love. He died a week before his 21st birthday in May 2024. His organs went to nine recipients and saved two lives, including the mother of an intellectually disabled child. His heart went to a nine-year-old boy. Since we launched Operation Vigilant Sentry to protect Florida’s shores from illegal aliens arriving by boat, we’ve interdicted nearly 20,000 illegal aliens at sea and effectuated their repatriation via the Coast Guard. One of the workers who cleans the 9/11 Memorial pool shares his story. He cleans the pool with another worker five nights a week, from midnight to 8 AM.

Twenty five years ago today, the first certified death of September 11 was a 68 year old Franciscan friar who ran toward the building because the men he loved were inside it. He was born Robert Emmett Judge in Brooklyn in 1933, the son of Irish immigrants. His father died when he was a small boy. To help keep the family fed he shined shoes at Penn Station, a kid with a box and a rag working the commuters. He entered the Franciscans at 15 and was ordained a priest in 1961. He took the name Mychal. He spent forty years doing the kind of work that does not get written up. He sat with homeless men. In the 1980s, when the disease still terrified people and plenty of clergy would not go near it, he went into AIDS wards and held patients' hands and washed their feet. He got sober through Alcoholics Anonymous in 1978 and spent the rest of his life pulling other drunks out of the hole he had climbed out of. He gave away his own coat more than once. He owned almost nothing. In 1992 he became a chaplain of the New York City Fire Department, which turned out to be what he had been built for. He worked sixteen hour days. He went to fires. He rode the rigs. He knew the men by name and he knew their wives and their kids and which ones were drinking and which ones were about to lose a marriage. When TWA 800 went down in 1996 he was with the families. When a firefighter died, he was the one who knocked on the door. On the night of September 10, 2001, he preached at a firehouse rededication. He told them there would be good days and bad days, up days and down days, but never a boring day on this job. He told them, you have no idea when you get on that rig what God is calling you to. But he needs you. That was the last homily he ever gave. The next morning he heard what had happened, put on his FDNY helmet and coat over his Franciscan habit, and went straight downtown. Rudy Giuliani ran into him in the street and said, Mychal, pray for us. Judge said, I always do. He went into the lobby of the North Tower, where the fire department had set up its command post, and he stayed there. He prayed over the dead in the street on the way in. He gave last rites. He was 68 years old with bad knees, in a building he had no operational reason to be in, refusing to leave, because the men going up those stairs were his men and somebody had to be there when they came back down. Witnesses said he was praying out loud, over and over, asking God to end it. At 9:59 a.m. the South Tower came down. The force of it tore through the North Tower lobby. Father Mychal Judge was killed instantly by blunt force trauma to the head. Five men picked him up. Two firefighters, an NYPD lieutenant, an FDNY EMT, and a civilian who had walked in off the street. They carried his body out in a chair through the smoke while the second tower was still standing over them, and a Reuters photographer named Shannon Stapleton took the picture. It is one of the most reproduced images of that day, and people have been calling it an American Pietà ever since. They carried him into St. Peter's Church up the block and laid him on the floor in front of the altar and covered him with a sheet. Then they went back out. Because his was the first body recovered and delivered to the medical examiner, his death certificate was the first issued. Victim 0001. Three hundred and forty three FDNY members died that day and the paperwork for all of it starts with the chaplain. Three thousand people came to his funeral, including a former president. His helmet is in the Smithsonian. There is a cause open for his canonization. He never carried a hose or a halligan. He went in anyway, because the job was to be where the firefighters were, and on that morning the firefighters were in the lobby of a burning skyscraper.
