I’ve had an idea for an oddball kind of notes app with strong crypto that I’ve wanted for a while. I had a short bit of time last night and sketched out what I wanted in a Markdown file. tl;dr: I ended up getting it done with Codex in about an hour ALTOGETHER. I’m shocked. The last time I tried to do anything with Swift or SwiftUI with an agent, it was a trainwreck. Bonus: I also got an iPad and macOS version done and it all syncs via iCloud.

I think they're trying to ease people by misleading them. It seems quite certain that AI will replace a lot of people. It might take 10-20 years before an AI "unit of work" will reach price parity with a human, but it will. And humans can't scale like AI UoW can. I can't wait for compute components to go back down to sane levels again.

The simplest iOS shortcut I could come up with to change my iPhone’s wallpaper in light/dark mode. Anyone got anything better? This shortcut runs with a sunset/sunrise+15mins automation.
