I don't know who needs to hear this but for the sake of people with busy jobs and little kids... PLEASE consider breakfasts and lunches, versus always doing dinners. I often need to pay for sitters just to attend your event. $25 an hour = $100 just to be there, plus travel.
@chrissyfarr Breakfast meetings are SO good. Also 3:30/4PM pints in empty bars that end the workday are sublime
@chrissyfarr And I don't want to miss doing homework together and bedtime. Bad enough with travel schedule but not cool if I'm within 100 miles
@chrissyfarr I was literally just thinking of this last night. I want to host several GP-LP and founder dinners this year...then I was like, can I convince everyone to do lunch instead?! Seems like a lot of us are in the same boat.
@chrissyfarr That’s why I rarely do evening events anymore. Lunch is so much better with kids in school.
@chrissyfarr A good lunch leaves you invigorated for the rest of the day. Everyone is tired at dinners and thinking about what they must do tomorrow.
@chrissyfarr 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 long live the breakfast meetings!! Highly caffeinated, fresh for the day, most of our minds think better in the AM, no crazy family stuff to manage. Omelets are the new cocktail Hashbrown hash-out sessions Fully endorse this new norm
@chrissyfarr I want to be a babysitter in the US..
@chrissyfarr Plus, evenings are often the rare moments I get to practice self-care as a parent. Your event better be badass.
