There's something to be said for businesses that do not require any outside investment whatsoever. As a former VC and now the owner of a small media company, I am quite enjoying this concept of generating more revenue than I spend.

It’s likely more economical for Optum to outsource vendor specific telehealth requirements while also ensuring better member satisfaction scores. I’d guess that Optum’s affected member base will still retain their telehealth services. I doubt Optum is ‘out’ of telehealth.

@chrissyfarr Not sure this is the main problem because Optum’s telehealth had many issues. Generally, traditional telehealth in the past had reciprocity with f2f but now, most (if not all) payors reimburse this at a much lower rate (somewhat dependent on other factors).
The number of people popping up to say the product was terrible in this thread and others makes me think we should not attach any sweeping takeaways about the value of telehealth to it… You have to get to the nuance of what problems it was being used for, how it was marketed,…

I officially became a girl dad a few weeks ago 😍 Everyone is healthy and happy, just a little sleep deprived but overall very excited! I'm taking the next few months of full-time work off to focus on family and enjoy the summer. Still here, investing, advising etc
