My daughter got married last week. She has #aphasia and was anxious about saying her vows. We tried finding out what needs to be said during the ceremony to fulfill legal requirements but even the RCSLT could not help. As it happens, there are allowances that can be made.

I’m so grateful to so many people for my Order of Australia. This award is yours too. I now get to advocate for aphasia in different and influential circles. Yesterday it was the Governor of Queensland, an MP & 100 other VIP’s. We should nominate more of us for awards like these.
