okay I’m done with this dumb vent thread no one asked for or cares about. I definitely don’t do anything to help my memory with the daily weed smoking and ed shit. overall I’m a proponent of ECT for TRD I just like complaining about my bullshit
one time in therapy I was really struggling with feeling like my only choice was to sacrifice my memories for a sliver of sanity (fuckin dramatic ass) and finished by saying “well at least I can play portal 2 for the first time again” and she just smiled sadly lol
the worst side effect of ECT is definitely the memory loss, but there are some benefits from it. for example I get to relearn/replay games on my switch & on steam and play them for the first time again lmao. I completely forgot Terraria despite having 100+ hours in it lollll

@mio2grotesque this is a great thread!! small corrections about ketosis, you don’t need to have zero carbs to reach ketosis (although it does get you there faster), you can get there in a few days eating 20-50g carbs. also calories don’t kick you out of ketosis unless it’s coming from carbs :)
@stitchedkittyz the coating/shell for extended release bupropion is actually insoluble! learned that after I saw a shell in the toilet and panicked thinking my gi tract was fucked lol
@losing_lacy ECT is a lot different than TMS. I also had tried so many different meds that didn’t help, ECT is genuinely the only thing that’s ever made a real difference. side effects can be shit but I don’t want to kms 24/7 anymore, it’s honestly why i’m even alive right now lol
