Meridian's x402 payments are unique because it has the ability to support cross-chain payments, as well as ones that are multi-token. This means that other forms of payment are accepted. No other x402 implementation has this or cash-back. $MRDN has been able to accomplish this by integrating Across intent based bridging functionality. The "x402 meta" isn't just a capital rotation event. It's actually modernization of an old http protocol that is now updated for a post-AI world. The amount of Internet traffic that can now be monetized through pay-walling data is a big reason why organizations like cloudflare are interested in the topic. I have thought deeply about this topic for quite some time now and every time I come to the same conclusion about the future of agentic commerce. The economic design is just as important as the features created. Incentives drive everything. No other x402 system offers what $MRDN does in terms of understanding fundamentally how incentives work. You will see a lot of flashy things, but you need to ask yourself, "why should an AI agent use this?" A smart agent will use the system that offers the most rewards and features. Meridian's cashback on an exponential decay function gives rewards for transactions. I believe this will drive real volume for usage when our B.Y.O.A. (Bring Your Own Agent) system goes live with across-chain tx / multi-token functionality. No other x402 implementation has such functionality. The 1% processing fee will also build the treasury as the cashback rate decays. Eventually, the cashback rate will drop below the processing fee. Collected fees can be used for perpetual buybacks over time. A smart agent will pay a fee, but they will also earn great rewards. There is no other way to sustain such a system. The "free gas" approach is not something that can scale out when the edge of AI hits critical mass and agents are transacting trillions of dollars on chain. No organization can subsidize such a thing . In time it will make more sense.
