@kathy_kathys2 @Keir_Starmer Lol last year 90% of immigrants (about 600,000 people) came legally, on work or student visas or their families. <5% came on boats. The government could cut immigration to <100,000 easily by issuing fewer visas. But guess what. We NEED immigration.

@RichardDawkins @facebook So if Imane is male because of XY chromosomes, some males must be able to give birth (because some people with swyers syndrome have XY chromosomes and a uterus). You can't have both "XY chromosomes = male" and "only females can give birth". They are mutually exclusive.

@Jenny_1884 So last year 650,000 people came to the UK... 90% of them on work or student visas, or their families. Small boats less than 5%. It's actually really easy to reduce immigration; issue fewer visas. Truth is we NEED immigration.

• 40% of the 650,000 were students and their families. So 90% of the 650,000 was government approved. •<5% (~30,000) came on small boats. I'm not saying that's not a concern, because it is, it costs desperate people their lives. But it's a tiny fraction of the story. (2of3)

Here is why we do NOT need to worry about immigration, contrary to Reform's claims. • 650,000 people came to the UK in 2023. Big number, right? • except nearly half of that number came on work visas (or their families), and most to work in care and the NHS. (1of3)
