@srslypascal Ich hab deinen Tweet so interpretiert, dass du die Verwendung von /etc/nixos/configuration.nix nicht magst und mit diesen Tools hast du das Problem nicht: also eine Configdatei direkt auf jedem Server oder hab ich das falsch verstanden? :)

@srslypascal @fluepke Und darf ich fragen, ob du den nixos-unstable Channel benutzt? Weil meiner Erfahrung nach sind die meisten Updates relativ fix, aber der Channel hängt dann leider. Aber ja, ich geb dir völlig recht, Nix ist nicht immer intuitiv und hat leider auch ne recht steile Lernkurve :/

@srslypascal @fluepke Was spricht dagegen, mit einem Deploymenttool, wie z.B. colmena oder nixops zu arbeiten? Und du kannst den Ort auch über den NIX_PATH verändern (also statt /etc/nixos/configuration.nix etwas anderes benutzen).

@Mic_92 @grhmc agreed. wasn't that serious, unless there's a very good reason to do a rewrite (especially in another language), I'm at least skeptical that it's the best choice for a project in general.

@fluepke I used to have ~200 and when I got my new machine last summer, I procrastinated some stuff and applied a few hacks to make sure a few more programs respect XDG (to a certain degree at least). Currently I have in total 39 entries in ~ma27.

On x86, the stack grows “down” towards lower addresses. However, this is only true in the northern hemisphere due to the Coriolis effect. In Australia, the stack grows up actually. That’s because they are all looking at their monitors upside down to avoid falling off the planet.

Lifehack for getting a free PCR test every 4 days. Get a Corona-Warn-App alert. Go to PCR test for free. Go stand in line. Get another alert because you were in line for 2 hours with 25% of people in line with symptoms. Repeat.
