At #WWERAW last night backstage with regards to CM Punk: ‘One source who spoke with him relayed there was "no sign of the version of the person who we'd hear was so miserable in AEW." A few people who weren't thrilled Punk was back noted that after talking with him, they felt better about Punk returning. So, it was a good first night back in that regard.’ — PWInsider
@WrestleOps Miserable?!? He had millions of dollars and a show given to him lol. He was hurt multiple times
@WrestleOps Wait, there's POSITIVITY coming from "backstage news" reports? And here I thought the internet was only capable of being a negative BS spewing cesspool...
@WrestleOps For the people that felt better…. You mean you actually went off your first hand experience with him rather than buying into the one sided dirt sheet reporting and based locker room trash? How novel.
@WrestleOps This should be revisited in like 4 months. Everything was fine and dandy when he first joined #AEW also. I'm also a huge Punk fan.
@WrestleOps A developmental promotion like Aew is such a horrible place to be stuck at. Even sting can't handle it and is retiring Glad to see punk out of jail
@WrestleOps Almost like things were blown out of proportion and he was spending his time defending himself from the toxic nature of the other company. Crazy that
@WrestleOps People who've never accomplished anything BIG, won't get it. When you're a special talent and you go to a place that is below your level, it'll always be a bad fit. Punk belongs with the ACTUAL elite. So he went back to the place where they exist and he'll be happier for it.
@WrestleOps I feel like people are just expecting Punk to walk in there and start IMMEDIATELY picking fights with people and causing scenes, like... duh. He's not going to blow up on people and make rash decisions when he's literally done NOTHING yet other then show up and talk once.
