We have had some nice sized crowds for our shows. On Friday July 10 we had 436 Saturday July 11 attendance was 512 Friday July 17th the attendance was 468 Saturday July18 we had 524 watching the show

What has Eleck and Olena Nelson been up to? The real Eleck Nelson was a farmer, stock buyer, a butcher and a saloon keeper. He was married to Olena and together they had 12 children. Eleck was on the town board and village council. The real Nelson's were neighbors to the Ingalls

We had a great turn out for Pay What You Can Thursday, almost 300 people took advantage of the special performance. The audience was able to sit anywhere they chose. Many thanks to those who came to watch the show. This may become a yearly thing.

The Kennedy Family lived in Walnut Grove. They and the Ingalls had a substantial role in organizing and building the Congregational Church in Walnut Grove. The Kennedy's stayed in Walnut Grove after the Ingalls left until their house burned down. They moved near Amiret Minnesota

Friday the Walnut Grove Laura Ingalls Wilder Pageant was a busy day. Finish last-minute items. The cast arrives, some people go over lines, the set crew makes sure everything is working properly and the cleaning staff put last minute polishing on the site & horses are readied

After years of using the recorded version of the song "Fragments of a Dream" written by Pam Steffen, this year we are lucky to have two of our actors perform the song live. Sara Muscatello plays guitar and sings the song. She will be accompanied by Dary Hrdlicka also on guitar.

We had a rainy practice last Thursday before taking Friday off in observance of the 4th of July Holiday. The cast was able to practice the first Act before thunder started rolling and the cast and crew were sent to the barn. The second Act was practiced in the barn.

At Practices Daryl (Leonard Moses) has found a way to entertain the children. Daryl has been showing them card tricks. He has the kids wondering how he did the tricks. It's a great way to pass the time behind the scenes; maybe the kids will learn a trick or two, if Daryl shares.

2026 Oleson Family: William played by Daniel DeSmith. This is Daniel's fourth year as William. Julie Danielowski is Margaret. Julie has played Margaret for 14 years. Nellie, for the third year, is Sophia Harsh. Micheal Schonhardt has his first year in the pageant is Willie.

Saturday was a day of getting work done at the Wilder Outdoor Theater. Bill, Shalayna, Larry, Daryl, Rick, Lori & Steve & Wendorff Welding got many projects accomplished. The barn was emptied and the floors were power washed, set work, sanding and welding the scrim frame.
