NATIONAL PRAYER REQUEST On behalf of an ungrateful and unrepentant nation, I write this with a heavy heart. Our great God and Savior Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Him. (John 14:6) Ask yourself: How do we truly Make America Great Again? So many of our fellow citizens have taken their blessings and God-given rights for granted. They are living according to the ways of this world (Romans 12:2), refusing to turn from their wicked ways or even acknowledge their sin. God is sovereign and can do anything. Yet as individuals and as a nation, we reap what we sow (Galatians 6:7). I do not believe God will pour out His blessing on America again until the majority of us repent, humble ourselves before Him, put an end to the constant fighting, the glorification of death and violence, the name-calling, and the bashing of one another. "You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you" (Matthew 5:43-44). We must truly love our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:39). Our nation is currently experiencing the consequences of turning away from God. Look at the chaos from the aftermath of our open borders, biological males competing in girls’ and women’s sports, and the widespread desire for personal vengeance—when Scripture clearly tells us that vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19). Midterms are right around the corner. We know President Trump faces a mountain of opposition determined to block him from fulfilling his promises: holding people accountable, delivering justice and restitution, and bringing the transparency our country desperately needs. Let us therefore pray: That the American people will awaken, repent of their sins, and return to the Lord with humble hearts. That our leaders, especially President Trump, will repent and humble themselves before God, "for the Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). That our leaders—especially President Trump—will be surrounded by wise counsel and protected from every scheme of man and the enemy. That God would place in office men and women of integrity who submit to His authority (Romans 13:1), fear Him, and acknowledge that they will one day give an account for every decision they make. That the Holy Spirit would powerfully convict our leaders and citizens of sin, draw them to repentance, and reveal God’s grace, mercy, and comfort. That we may be the salt and light of the world (Matthew 5:13-16), rebuking evil with gentleness, patience, and lovingkindness (2 Timothy 2:25; Galatians 6:1). Heavenly Father, we cry out to You for our nation. Forgive us for our arrogance, our idolatry, and our rebellion. "If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14). Open our hearts to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, that You may heal our land and we may glorify You to the rest of the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

On the night of January 15, 1978, Ted Bundy broke into the Chi Omega sorority house at Florida State University. In a brutal rampage, he murdered two young women, Margaret Bowman and Lisa Levy…and severely beat two others who survived. That same terrifying night, a priest, Fr. William Kerr (later Monsignor), was called to the sorority house to minister to the victims. One of the young women, still deeply shaken, spoke only to him. She shared that before leaving for college, she had promised her mother (or grandmother) that she would pray the Rosary every single night for protection, even if she fell asleep while praying it. She had kept that promise that night. She later expressed her belief that her nightly devotion to the Rosary had protected her amid the horror. Years later, the same priest, Monsignor Kerr, became a spiritual counselor to Ted Bundy while he was on death row. Bundy confessed to over 30 murders before his execution. He also related to Monsignor Kerr that when he attempted to enter the room of the girl with the rosary (unbeknownst to him), an “invisible force” pushed him back and despite repeated attempts to enter, could not. This story, though the exact details have grown through retellings over the years, reminds us of the deep faith many hold in the power of prayer, especially the Rosary. Father Joseph M. Esper reflects in his book With Mary to Jesus that the Rosary not only aids our spiritual growth but also “undermines the kingdom of Satan.” He quotes the famous Vatican exorcist Fr. Gabriele Amorth, who once heard the devil say during an exorcism: “Every Hail Mary is like a blow on my head. If Christians knew how powerful the Rosary was, it would be my end.” Whether in moments of visible danger or the hidden battles we all face, countless believers throughout history have turned to Our Lady’s Rosary as a source of strength and protection🙏🏻💪🏻
