I was 32 years old when I first voted for this flag. I had never voted before in my life. I cried in the booth. I was detained-in 1985 at a march in Cape Town & held at Caledon Square. Dullah Omar got us released late that night. Then in 1983 in Warmbad (Bela Bela). Go vote.
I am trying to figure out the Electoral Court decision. So the ConCourt ruling is not a prison sentence. You are sentenced to jail but it’s not a sentence. But you also cant not pitch up for jail because then u will be arrested for contempt.

Some cool things happened for me personally in the last few months: 1) I submitted my PhD & with it, the most massive weight off my shoulders. It was an incredible journey & I learned so much from my supervisors. I honestly feel so privileged to have had the best of the best.

@UrbanLo I was 21 when I first voted, with family & friends who were all voting for the 1st time. I was the youngest among them, some AZAPO, some ANC, some PAC, all full of hope for the future. We queued happily for hours, soaking up the atmosphere with others at Hillbrow church.
