After todays events in Crewe, where White Vanguard were treated with hostility by Civic Nationalists at a protest against the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light, with several including Paul Golding attempting to remove a young mans mask, calling him unpatriotic, and claiming anyone dressed in black bloc must be there to cause trouble, I feel it is necessary to defend the decision by nationalists to start adopting such uniform clothing. In the UK, police enforce the law more strictly and aggressively against tolerant and traditionally compliant groups, often those who are right leaning, nationalist or native aligned, precisely because those groups grant broad consent to be policed. They show up openly, respect authority, and respond with compliance rather than mass resistance or organised backlash. Officers therefore feel they have permission and the risk is lower when applying full procedural powers. By contrast more hostile, adversarial or non native aligned groups, signal withdrawal of consent through confrontation, bloc tactics and the potential for wide disorder or political accusations. Police operating under the Peelian principle of policing by consent and risk averse institutional incentives therefore respond with greater caution, negotiation, and selective leniency to avoid escalation or career damage. This disparity is, at the ground level, rooted in pragmatic calculations about who will accept enforcement versus who will contest it. Top down institutional layers and elite capture have acted to reinforce the disparity. Post Macpherson reforms, College of Policing guidance on hate crime and non crime hate incidents, and performance metrics that emphasise positive responses to perceptions of hostility, especially around race, religion, or protected characteristics, create incentives to prioritise community relations and avoid any appearance of bias against minorities or the activist left. This has produced observable asymmetries in practice: grooming gang investigations delayed for years over fears of racism accusations, large pro Gaza or BLM linked protests involving road blockades, violence and inflammatory elements policed with restraint, fewer fast track outcomes than the 2024 riots, and non crime hate incidents weaponised in one direction while street level disorder from the other direction receives tolerance in order to keep the peace. The left and activist side benefits from cultural sympathy in elite institutions, media, academia, parts of the judiciary, and the practical reality that they are more likely to contest enforcement aggressively. The system therefore optimises for short term calm by leaning lighter where pushback is costliest, even as it applies fuller force where consent makes enforcement cheaper and safer. Over decades what began as pragmatic Peelian adaptation has layered with ideological reforms to produce the two tier system many natives now experience as a squeeze. Stricter ground level policing for the compliant combined with institutional capture. Wearing black bloc is nationalists signalling that they have withdrawn their consent. By adopting the same anonymity tactics long used by the left they stop making enforcement cheap and easy for police. The compliant no longer volunteer to be a soft target. This raises the cost of selective policing across the board and forces the state to confront the reality that one group will no longer subsidise the two tier system with its obedience. It is a clear message that cooperation is off the table until the rules are applied equally. Historical parallels show that groups perceived as likely to withdraw consent or escalate have extracted concessions in enforcement thresholds. The risk of continued compliance is permanent second class treatment under a system that has already hardened into two tiers. If the compliant keep subsidising the asymmetry with their obedience the squeeze will only tighten.

@TheNativist_ A very well-written post, but it essentially denotes a point that many of us on figure to be quite obvious by now: Our state police and institutions will break the rules in order to cow us into obedience to their rule. It would be foolishness for us not to reciprocate.
