2) TX removed more people faster from Medicaid than any other state. Some mistakes were preventable and foreshadowed in persistent warnings. Nearly 1.4 m were disenrolled for reasons like failing to return a form, not because they weren’t eligible. @eklib propublica.org/article/texas-…

@propublica The quality has never matched my basic needs, even when I've had paid caregivers. Guardianship is the hell I hope I never need, but it’s the evil I know will come for me one day. So much can be done now to prevent or even slow down the timeline, but it’s not happening.

@propublica I am healthier living apart, yet socially and even from agencies, I am expected to move home or rely on them. When receiving care, the goal is to show a caregiver how to help, and if no one exists, then services are stopped, even if the patient needs it.

@Enoctis93 I hope it gets better for you soon. A resource I just found out about via @TheDailyShow. Mark Cuban (from Shark Tank) talked w/ @jonstewart about staying true to his values even as a billionaire. For him, fighting big pharma & transparency of cost of meds. He created a company!
