I HAVE BEEN SAYING THIS, bring back the overtly atmospheric video game music we'd get in PS1-PS2 titles. The reason they even exist is because they were a way to compensate for graphical limitations (bring in atmosphere the game lacked) but id love to see them in modern titles

@TheRayMona I think saying they were like that To Compensate is a bit much, but damn had they evolved nicely and hit a peak once CDs and DVDs became the norm
@TheRayMona Also could take in the music more when there wasn't so much voice acting
@TheRayMona Thank you I been wanting to experience ost that stands out because it helps enhance the game experience. I’m getting tired of that annoying Hollywood orchestrated ost that happens to be in almost every video game now.
@TheRayMona FF7 soundtrack was basically "what if Kraftwerk but fantasy?"
@TheRayMona Game music needs to return to tradition, and by tradition I mean embrace funk, jazz, and prog rock musical styles again. Forget "Hans Zimmer soundalike #567 aka Call of Duty Modern Warfare" - give me something psychedelic, wild, shameless, bold and brash! (Don't say it)
@TheRayMona Orchestras are beautiful! But not every game needs them, and I think that’s why games like Bomb Rush Cyberfunk stand out so well, because of the energy and ability to just be really catchy and energetic. Vinyl and VHS are coming back not because of fidelity, but because of FEEL.
@TheRayMona Creativity is needed when you have limitations! That's why a lot of old soundtracks are waaaaaaaay more memorable!!
