@MBurtwrites @NeilShenvi 1/ Its not just the subtitle. The subtitle reflects what is in the book. She does exactly what Neil says she does all throughout the book, sometimes very obviously, and sometimes very subtly, smuggling in normative theological claims.

U never engage w her arg, u just call her names (1 of which u repeat above) n strut about with bravado (“you aren’t very smart are you?”). She makes 2 hours worth of args, and this is all u have. Name calling is not an argument

@drantbradley 2/ those relationships to happen, nor does the church encourage them much (despite marriages and children being visually present in the sanctuary). We are too afraid of "making marriage an idol" so we go to the other extreme. Don't offer much chance for the two sexes to mingle...

@megbasham 3/ Among other things, he taught that the flood was just a borrowed myth. I wrote a paper for a class in my MA program (I was getting an MA in philosophy at Biola at the time) arguing against that, and gave it to him. Oooh boy that did not go over well. Dude was aaangry!
