Oui… le chiffre est exact selon la méthodologie de Yardeni Research, mais le message est trompeur si on le lit sans le contexte. Ce que dit réellement le graphique •Il s’agit du PEG de Yardeni : Forward P/E ÷ LTEG (Long-Term Earnings Growth), où le LTEG est la croissance bénéficiaire annuelle attendue par le consensus sur 5 ans (données LSEG Datastream + Yardeni). •Au 16 juillet 2026, ce ratio ressort à 0,81. C’est effectivement le plus bas niveau depuis le début de la série (1995). Il est inférieur aux creux de 2009, 2011-2012 et 2022. Le point crucial (celui souligné par @OttoLex51) Ce n’est pas le PEG « classique » que la plupart des investisseurs ont en tête (souvent basé sur la croissance à 1 an ou sur des hypothèses plus réalistes de 8-12 %). Le dénominateur (LTEG) est actuellement extrêmement élevé. Fin juin 2026, Yardeni indiquait un LTEG record de 25,5 % pour le S&P 500, tiré par un LTEG du secteur Technology autour de 43 %. C’est ce qui fait mécaniquement chuter le PEG, pas une compression du multiple de valorisation. Avec un Forward P/E autour de 19,8-20,1× (FactSet / données récentes), on a approximativement : 20 / 25 ≈ 0,80 Verdict •Factuellement juste sur les données Yardeni. •Interprétation trompeuse si on en conclut que « le S&P 500 n’a jamais été aussi bon marché depuis 30 ans ». C’est surtout les analystes qui projettent une croissance bénéficiaire très agressive sur 5 ans. C’est exactement le genre de situation où le PEG devient un indicateur fragile : il dépend entièrement de la qualité (et de la pérennité) des anticipations de croissance long terme. Historiquement, ces phases de LTEG très élevé ont souvent été suivies de révisions à la baisse.
