FOSP understand that on hot days everyone's wants to enjoy a swim. We are frustrated and disappointed by the approach medway council has taken in managing the demand. The limited opening hours is really adding to the problem.
@EmmieLouX We fear there will be no positive change running the lido until current council officers move on. FOSP only consists of 10 people and they have worn us down with their negative approach.
@EmmieLouX Our petition in 2016 on this very issue was signed by over 5,000 people. It went to scrutiny committee but medway council are determined not to work with FOSP in a positive way. They have trebled the pool hire fee for us to run the evening sessions this year 😕

@rachelkemp37 @MedwaySport We are very disappointed about this as originally we were told to run evening sessions to evidence the need. Now we have, they have asked us to pay £300 a session.

Great to retrieve these pieces of discarded rubbish and I love the composition made from them.
One Cornish beach, one hour & 740 bits of seaworn plastic picked up from one 10m x 10m patch of seaweed that had washed ashore. These pieces don't float - many have been washing around the seafloor for decades. Among them were fragments of household items, 'vintage' fabric & Lego
