We are more threatened by the businesses that exploit us, the police that repress and kill us, and the fascists who aim to eradicate us, than we will ever be by another struggling person, especially one living without access to basic human necessities.
You don’t have the right to live your life in a fundamentally broken, apocalyptic world and not hear the distress of the people harmed most by it. They don’t owe you silence or comfort. They belong to this world just as much as you do. These public spaces are theirs too.
People go about their privileged lives and treat them like they are ghosts. So what if they’re angry? Why shouldn’t they be? Why shouldn’t they be angry that they can be on the same street as people buying Cartier and LV but they are hungry? Cold? Dehydrated?
Homeless people don’t owe you civility or politeness or order. They give us these things often, most of the time actually. But they do not owe it to us. They have the right to scream, cry, beg… everything. They have been abandoned by society and have to watch as…

There was a #FreePalestine demonstration in Thousand Oaks today at Westlake Blvd X TO Blvd. There was one physical altercation with a counter-demonstrator. VCSO responded. One guy (pictured) was agitating, yelling “Suck my d*ck terrorists. I’ll kick your ass” but was ignored.
After day 3 of a sweep we were supposed to do our food distro. All of us had been helping people move all day, and didn’t have anytime to cook. A guy living in the meadows went to the store and bought enough food so we could all have dinner together in our spot one last time.⬇️
