Hate to tell you Retards but there are several ways you can lose your home without it ever hitting the market. Doing this won’t stop any of them Jeff is 100% right. There will be no more low value housing built as cities and counties won’t approve them. Why would they? Maybe that’s the goal of those wanting to pass this but you’re going to see trailer parks explode because of this. I already see it in the market. Existing trailer parks are going up in prices every day. Their demand is getting ready to explode in 5 months. Investors are way ahead of the game. Way ahead. Meanwhile the rural areas are doomed. It’s going to destroy them overnight. No doubt about it. Bond issuers are already pulling back and wanting earlier full payments. Good luck!!

You're dead ass wrong. Here's what's on the ballot. Keep property taxes for schools for everyone. For primary homesteads $150K next year, $250K following year then adjusted for inflation. To qualify you have to have lived in FL for the 5 preceding years and claimed a homestead - otherwise you don't qualify until after 5 years. Raise taxes on rentals, businesses and commercial property - which in turn raises the prices on everything in FL. Your favorite hotel will go up in price by 15% - 20% overnight and continue to indefinitely. Want to go out to eat in FL, same thing. Want to buy a new TV, refrigerator, same thing. Need to get your car fixed, same thing. Want to buy some new clothes - same thing. Need to have something repaired on your house or car - same thing. Educate yourself before posting on social media.
