@deepakshenoy Indian banks convert $ to ₹ to lend onshore. Else why are AUSFB, Bandhan, CSB, Yes & IDFC raising FCNRs?Their $ asset base is tiny. I do understand this well. ₹ will strengthen, that's the core purpose of this exercise.

@akm1410 @Harveen_A @MorningContext @sonalch10 something doesn't add up , 3.5% commission is too good to be true. LSPs need to provide 5% FLDG (cash/FD/BG) under RBI's DLG norms so that would effectively puts a ceiling hence your point is valid .

Seven-year-old Ishank Singh from Jharkhand has become the youngest swimmer to cross the Palk Strait, completing a 29-km open sea swim from Sri Lanka to India in 9 hours and 50 minutes on April 30, an event recognised by the Universal Records Forum (URF), which said he was the ‘Youngest and Fastest Palk Strait Swimmer’. The crossing from Sri Lanka’s Talaimannar towards Dhanushkodi in Tamil Nadu is considered one of the toughest open-water swims due to strong currents and unpredictable sea conditions.
